Final day of Sharks Winter Training Camp - Sun. Jan. 18

The final day of Winter camp will be Sunday, January 18 at Richards High School.

We hope all who participated have enjoyed their time spent in off-season training, and have come away knowing more about the game than when they came in.

We thank all of our coaches, college and high school players, and our very special guest from the Houston Astros organization, for all of their time spent teaching the next generation of baseball and softball players.

Boys 8U Thunder Tryouts - Feb 18

There will be an 8u Thunder All-Star tryout and Pinto evaluation on Sunday, February 18th at 1:30 pm at Richards High School main gym for anyone who will be 8 years old and under on May 1st, 2018. Players attending should bring their mitts, bats, and helmets. If they do not have their own helmet, there will be some available for anyone to use. Players should wear baseball pants, t-shirt, and baseball hat. Players should wear gym shoes, as spikes are not allowed in the gym.

Pinto players can also be evaluated. The evaluation will be for any Shetland players that feel they are advanced enough to play Pinto or want to try out for the Thunder team. Your son will be evaluated on hitting, throwing, and fielding. If the league feels your son is ready to move up, then he will be placed in the Pinto division.

The 8u Thunder team will play in the Sunday Baseball League and play against other 8u teams from around the area. The team will start having indoor practices as soon as the roster is finalized. During the house season there will be practices or games every Wednesday and Sunday. The remaining 5 days of the week will be used for house league practices and/or games. Every Thunder player must play in the Pinto house division and attend most of the games and practices. There will be a Memorial Weekend tournament and 3-4 local tournaments in the month of July. The cost will be $300, plus the Pinto registration and candy fees.
